Pad Your Peg-Wrench
It's very easy, and it can save your guitar from scratches on the peghead
and tuning pegs, especially if you have a guitar with wooden tuning pegs.Buy a piece of adhesive felt, sold to cushion objects to protect furniture. Cut a piece about 3/4" by 1-1/2" or so for each of your peg wrenches.
The size should match the opening of your peg wrench.
Peel off the backing and use a stick of some sort to push it in all the way.
Then trim off the excess.
In addition to protection, it gives a nice snug fit, which is convenient also.
